These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Jobslot website at jobslot.fyi (the "Service"), operated by Jobslot ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Jobslot is

Jobslot is a job-discovery tool. It gathers publicly posted job openings from company job boards (such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby) and presents them through a slot machine, a searchable list, saved shortlists, daily spins and alerts. Jobslot is not an employer, recruiter or staffing agency, and doesn't take part in any hiring decision.

2. The slot machine is just for fun

Spins, "jackpots", "rigging" and daily results are a playful way to explore companies. No money, payment or anything of value is wagered, and there are no prizes. A jackpot doesn't mean a job offer, an interview or any relationship with the company shown. If a company is sponsored and appears more often, it will be labeled as sponsored.

3. Job listings and third-party sites

• Listings, company descriptions and links come from third parties and public sources. We try to keep them current, but we don't guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, still open, or legitimate.
• When you open a job or careers link, you leave Jobslot. Applications happen on the company's own site and are governed by that site's terms and privacy policy. We aren't responsible for third-party sites or for any dealings between you and an employer.
• Company names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are shown only to identify companies. Their appearance on Jobslot doesn't mean they endorse or are affiliated with Jobslot.

4. Ads and sponsored placements

To keep Jobslot free, we may show advertisements and sponsored placements, for example a company paying to appear on the reels, in the job list, or more often in spins. Sponsored content will be labeled. Ads and sponsored placements are the advertiser's responsibility: we don't endorse advertised products, services or employers, and a sponsored company appearing more often doesn't mean it's a better employer or that you're more likely to be hired. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them. How ads use data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Your account

• You can use Jobslot without an account. To sync across devices you can sign in with your Google account.
• You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You can stop using Jobslot at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

When using Jobslot, you agree not to:

• break the law or use the Service to harm anyone;
• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service, or access it with bots or automated tools, except ordinary search engine indexing;
• overload, disrupt, probe or try to bypass the security of the Service or its providers;
• try to access other people's accounts or data; or
• misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any company.

We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these Terms.

7. Emails

If you turn on "Email me new roles", we send digests of new jobs at companies you follow to the email address on your Google account. You can turn alert emails off at any time in the alerts panel.

8. Our content

The Jobslot website, design, code and branding belong to us. You may use the Service for your own personal job search. You may share your daily results and screenshots, including on social media.

9. Changes and availability

Jobslot is a free service that may change over time. We may add, change or remove features, or suspend or stop the Service, at any time. We may update these Terms; when we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll let signed-in users know. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any job listing is accurate or available.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jobslot won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities or profits, arising from your use of the Service or of any job listing or third-party site. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using Jobslot at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue to apply.
